These are the pre-made strips I mentioned in my article.  These are very handy to use, but more expensive than the liquid leading.
They can be cut very easily to the size you need.

This is is a crystal clear paint.  I use a lot of this.  You can see through this, but what you see is vague.  (I apply it rather thickly.)    In other words, if you apply it to a window or a door,  your visitors cannot see clearly into your house.
