SOCIETY OF DECORATIVE PAINTERS

In 1972 Priscilla Hauser  met with 22 others to form an organization, the Society of Tole and Decorative Painters, now known as the Society of Decorative Painters.  Her goal was to bring together those who love painting and crafting.  She also wanted an organization that would  appeal to those people who don't paint but who enjoy the hobby.  Her desire was to share her talents, designs, and techniques with the nation and the entire world.  Today the Society of Decorative Painters is the world's largest decorative painting organization.  Over 27,000 artists across the United States and the world as far away as Australia and Japan make up this talented group.
